The first post is gonna be dedicated to Owl because they are awesome and cute!

- There are about 205 species of owls.
- Owls' eyes are fixed in their sockets.
- The tufts of feathers atop some owl's heads, referred to as 'ear tufts' are for display only.
- Owls do more than just hoot—they create many different vocalizations.
- Owls are found in all different habitats and there are different owl species found on all continents except Antarctica.
- An owl has three eyelids: one for blinking, one for sleeping and one for keeping the eye clean and healthy.
- Owls have been found in the fossil record up to 58 million years ago. The largest recorded owl fossil, Orinmegalonyx oteroi, stood about three feet tall.
